Trading Routes Community Discussion Hosted by Terrace Art Gallery
In May 2014 and again in October 2014 Trading Routes Project team, Kit Grauer, Jill Baird and Ruth Beer visited the communities of Terrace and initiated a public call to join in a community discussion hosted by the Terrace Art Gallery. The discussion at Terrace Art Gallery invited local artists to talk about related issues of cultural production and changing communities. The TR Project team also visited Prince Rupert, Kitimat, Kitamat Village, Port Edwards, K’san, New Hazelton, Kitwanga, and Nisga’a communities to have inspiring conversations with artists, teachers, museum directors, elders and other concerned citizens who spoke about their experiences living in the northwest and proposed pipelines (see “conversations”).
